Judith Cullen is a theater artist from the Pacific Northwest with over 25 years of experience as a designer, production manager, and producer for theater and opera. Since 2008 she has worked as a volunteer presenting literature live in the online metaverse of Second Life ©, logging in over 500 hours to benefit a variety of charities including War Child North America, Project Children, and Habitat for Humanity. Ms. Cullen has recently expanded her skill sets, transforming her professional theater experience, combined with her work as a virtual storyteller, into a refreshed career as a narrator, voice artist, and author.

STATE COORDINATOR - Poetry Out Loud for ArtsWA -  July 2013 to Present
Working with the Manager of the Arts-in-Education division of ArtsWA (The Washington State Arts Commission) to coordinate all activity and resources from registration through final state-wide competition of the Poetry Out Loud program for grades 9-12 for Washington State.

CONSULTANT -  June 2013 to Present
Working as a consultant to small and start-up level non-profits.  Providing advise on organizational systems, basic fund development and budgeting, fundamentals of marketing and governance.

SELF TRAINING -  January 2012 to Present
Developing skills in PhotoShop, Audacity, Cool Edit Pro, Blender. Education and research in current trends of the publishing industry (print, electronic, and audio publishing included).

PRODUCTION STAGE MANAGER.......THE BROADWAY CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS – September 2008 to January 2012
Management of Backstage operations for three venues of the Broadway Center including supervision of the IATSE stagehands, scheduling, advance work, pre-rig, load-in, performance and load-out, arrange accommodations & ground transport, arrange and manage backline, budgeting, systems maintenance and client/user support, point-of-contact for Resident Arts Organizations. (Full time Exempt)

GRANTS MANAGER.......CHILDREN’S MUSEUM OF TACOMA – July 2007 to September 2008
Writing and managing the implementation of grants and sponsorships constituting $250,000 + out of a $790,0000 annual budget.  Includes file maintenance, research, writing, reporting, and funder recognition among other staff responsibilities. (Part time)
